Madman's Capriccio

MADMAN’S CAPRICCIO
The world's a stage
We're all just actors in a play
Nothing we say or do
Will ever change a thing
Who even cares anyway
It's all just vanity they say
So would you like to play
A king?
I'd rather play a fool
I'd play a clown
I'd play a madman who
Believes that he can fly
(Even though he's falling down)
I'd rather play a clown
Than play a king
Only a madman wears a crown
That don't mean anything
(So would you like to play with me?)
A crown's too heavy for my head
I'd rather wear a jester's hat
A palace is a cage too small
To be a prison for my soul
The crowd cheers and bows before the father of the kingdom.
"Long live the king" they shout and the fool shouts louder than most.
Bow before the king he does with all of them.
But one look in his eyes and you know - it is not a gesture of respect
But one of mockery.

A FAIRY TALE FOR THE WICKED
I've heard this tale before
The beast, the beauty and the devil
I know how it ends
But I don't mind it, not at all
Come, take my soul
And make her mine before the sun ascends
Don't do it, not for me
I do pretend so very well but
My heart is cold
My beauty is deceiving
Inside I'm just an empty shell
My soul I too have sold
Take me
(A fairy tale for the wicked)
Carress me
(My fair lady)
Love me
(A fairy tale for the wicked)
I'll still have nothing to give you back
(A fairy tale for the weak at heart)
To be beautiful for you
I proceeded my soul to sell
Oh, the folly of my lust and my youth
Now I'm only in love with myself
Once upon a time there lived a beauty and a beast
Once upon a time they burned
Then they made a deal with one who never did exist
Their love to ashes turned
Take me
(A fairy tale for the wicked)
Caress me
(A fair price to pay)
Love me
(A fairy tale for the wicked)
I'll still have nothing to give
(A fairy tale for the weak)

Words Of Prophecy

WORDS OF PROPHECY
Giants walk the Earth
Those who walk on water die of thirst
The future has been witnessed
Prophets raise the dead
God forbid the living rise instead
The future has been witnessed
A story never told
A book written in blood
A manuscript of drawings
Not a single word
A science lost to man
A story never told
The secret of all secrets
The art of turning lead to gold
The planets will align
Time is growing short
What will come to be
Is that which was before
The truth will be revealed
The planets will align
The secret of all secrets
The art of turning water into wine
The path we walk is flawed
That is plain to see
That which was before
Once again shall be
The pages turn to dust
The path we walk is flawed
The secret of all secrets
The art of turning humans into gods

One Of Them

ONE OF THEM
I came searching for
Gods and higher lore
I found only men
Mad men
I'm one of them
Couldn't learn the truth
No one ever could
In a world made of lies
One life
Can not suffice
And when the Abyss stares right back at me
I know I'm not blind if myself I can see /2
All I thought I knew
My insights - however few
With the break of dawn
All gone
Each single one
All I meant to ask
And my noble task
My quest to save the world
So foolish
And absurd
The meaning of life we are not meant to know
Man is too small /2
The meaning of life we are not meant to know
Man is too small /4
I came searching for
Gods and higher lore
Then my mind I lost
And all I
Thought mattered most
Now I'm one of them
Those who ones were men
Lunatics at best
Each one
By beasts possessed
All we see is just fantasy
Man's just too small to understand it all
Sanity is blindness that's all it is
Once touched by the truth
They are both gone for good
